Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Sayyed Mahdi Safieddine, a Hezbollah fighter and nephew of the martyred Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, made the remarks during a gathering of pilgrims at the holy Jamkaran Mosque near Qom.
He said the two leaders were sincere soldiers of Imam Mahdi and were not only men of knowledge and jihad, but devoted themselves to strengthening the bond between the people and the awaited Imam.
"Sayed Hassan Nasrallah spoke to the Islamic Ummah and Arab nations with eloquence and clarity, introducing them to Imam Mahdi and keeping his memory alive in their hearts," Safieddine said.
He stressed that Mahdism was not merely a slogan for Martyr Nasrallah, but a reality he lived daily, maintaining a deep spiritual connection with the Imam.
The Hezbollah fighter said senior scholars in Qom believed one of the secrets behind Nasrallah's leadership and stature was precisely this spiritual and heartfelt bond with Imam Mahdi, which he cultivated over years.
Turning to his uncle, Safieddine said a written note was found at the site of his martyrdom showing he had been supplicating to Imam Mahdi there, written in the final days of his life.
"This shows that his relationship with the Imam was not merely intellectual, but a living, heartfelt bond that remained with him even in the hardest moments and amid the heaviest responsibilities," he said.
Safieddine said both leaders always strove to see themselves in the presence of Imam Mahdi, weighing every action, word and decision against the satisfaction of God and the Imam.
He noted that their devotion to Imam Khomeini, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and martyrs such as General Qassem Soleimani was inseparable from their loyalty to the path of Imam Mahdi (AS).
The Hezbollah fighter said both martyrs held deep affection for the Iranian people, having lived among them and become familiar with their faith and religious culture.
He recalled that Martyrs Nasrallah and Safieddine had once visited the Jamkaran Mosque themselves, describing it as a place dear to them.
Safieddine noted that his uncle lived in the holy city of Qom for nearly a decade, studied near the shrine of Lady Masoumeh (peace be upon her), and considered himself one of the city's residents, always longing to return.
He recalled a piece of advice from his uncle before he traveled to Qom for seminary studies: "When you go to Iran, pay attention to one important characteristic of these people — their love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS)."
Safieddine described that love as one of the most beautiful and prominent traits of the Iranian people.
In closing, he prayed for the hearts of believers to be drawn closer to Imam Mahdi, asking God to make them true awaiting companions of the Imam — not merely mentioning his name, but seeking his satisfaction in their lives, conduct and deeds.
He also prayed for the preservation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leaders and people, and asked God's mercy for Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Khamenei, Sayyed Nasrallah, Safieddine, General Soleimani, Sheikh Nabil and all martyrs of Iran, Lebanon and the Muslim world.
